Twice a day claiming

At LanternPay, we want to make the Plan Manager experience as quick and seamless as possible, so we’re thrilled to announce that twice a day claiming is now live. But what does twice a day claiming mean for you? In this post, we want to explore the change and how you can reap the benefits.

What will change?

We currently submit claims to the NDIS Provider Portal at 3:00pm (AEST) and this new release means we’ll be now doing this twice a day.

From June 15, we will submit claims to the NDIS Provider Portal at 11:00am (AEST) and 3.00pm (AEST). This means you’ll receive a funding decision at 1.00pm (AEST) and 5.00pm (AEST). Check out the below to see our twice-a-day cycle.

Twice a day claim cycle

What does this mean for you?

These changes will obviously give you more time and flexibility, so that you can best support your participants. You will be able to

  • complete a claim-run earlier in the day
  • correct exceptions (gap payments, rejected claims) and claim within the same day
  • and more easily fund and pay invoiced amounts in a single transaction.

How can you make the most of this change?

If you submit claims in fixed intervals throughout the day, align them to the times we listed above. This means you’ll reap all the benefits we mentioned earlier!

As per the current process, claims submitted after 3pm (AEST) will be processed the following day – and providers will still be paid at the same time.

That’s it for now! But we’ve got more coming. To end this financial year with a bang, we’ll also be releasing twice a day syncing by the end of June – we will be sharing further information around this closer to the day, so check your inboxes.
